The Long Term Effects of Alcohol can differ based on the levels of alcohol consumption. With low levels of alcohol consumption there can be possible health benefits and with chronic alcohol abuse their can be severe detrimental effects.

With “High Levels” of alcohol consumption you set yourself for increased risk of developing Cardiovascular disease, Mal-absorption, Chronic Pancreatitis, Alcoholic Liver Disease, and Cancer. Chronic alcohol abuse can also lead to damage to the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. Although, not leaving other organs immune to damage.

Short term effects of Alcohol come in many forms and many side-effects. The amount taken in and the situation in which you consume the alcohol plays a large role in determining the extent of intoxication. An example is, Consuming alcohol after consuming a heavy meal causes the alcohol to be absorbed in the blood slowly.
